Miriam Schroers and Courtney Howell McDonnell are friends, co-leaders and planners. They met on a backpacking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and quickly realized they shared similar goals, hiked at the same pace, and never ran out of things to talk about on the trail. A partnership and friendship was instant and they’ve covered many miles (and km) since then.
Their goal is to encourage, enable and support women to get out on the trail, maybe (hopefully?) push themselves beyond their comfort zone, try something that might scare them, and be proud of what they’ve accomplished. They organize, research, scout, and plan the trips. Leading where appropriate and hiring experienced and vetted local guides when needed. Participants are supported through the planning, gear selection, training, and trip preparation.
