Upcoming Trips

We plan trips both in the United States and abroad, some are just a few days and some longer. Sometimes we sleep in refugios or mountain inns and sometimes we sleep in tents. Details are below, hope you can join us!

Patagonia

Between January 21 and February 11, 2026

The “O” Circuit
Torres Del Paine, Chile

About

We return to the “O” in February 2026! Can’t stay away from this incredible landscape.

The O Circuit is a multi day loop around the Paine Massif in Torres del Paine national park. It visits the three valleys of the W Trek, as well as taking in the quieter trails in the northern part of the park. We hike to the Base of the Towers (the icons of the landscape), Dickson Lake and glacier, and thick forests and alpine slopes dotted with alpine flowers. A particularly unique day is hiking up and over John Garder Pass to our first view of the incredible Southern Patagonia Ice Field. Continuing on hike along the side of Grey Glacier to Lago Grey and then the French Valley. Spectacular landscape every day, it’s an incredible hike. The Southern Ice Field is shocking in its simple beauty.

Accommodations are mountain huts with one night in a tent. Breakfast and dinner are served family style in the refugios and lunches will be a boxed lunch prepared each morning by the refugio.

The Itinerary

The trip begins and ends in the city of Santiago. We will travel as a group from Santiago to the small mountain town of Puerto Natales where we will have a day or two to explore the area (including a day trip to an estancia) before heading into the park to begin our trek. We will hike for 6 days and then return to Puerto Natales for a night before flying back to Santiago.

Hiker Profile

This trip is appropriate for women with moderate hiking experience and good physical condition. Participants should be prepared to hike over steep, rocky, and sometimes exposed terrain but note the hike is not at high altitude. We will be hiking 8-10 hours a day for 6 days in a row while carrying a 15-20 pound pack. Packing lists and gear advice will be provided.

Cost

The trip will cost approximately $6500 to $7500, including all meals, accommodations, transportation, tips and flights.

Adirondacks

Fall 2025

High Peaks Region
Keene, NY

About

This weekend will focus on enjoying time in the wilderness and hiking one of the Adirondack 46 high peaks, most likely Mt Marcy or Mt Haystack. We will be spending Friday and Saturday nights in one of the “camps” at Johns Brook Lodge, a rustic cabin with bunks, a composting toilet, and propane lamps and stoves. These camps provide a great way to get into the backcountry and closer to the high peaks without having to sleep in a tent, worry about foul weather or carry a bear canister! We’ve stayed in this camp and it’s very cozy and comfortable.

The Itinerary

Friday: The Friday hike into the camp is 3.5 miles during which we will be carrying our personal items, a sleeping bag, and a portion of the group food. The trip will begin Friday at noon with arrival at the trailhead. We will hike to Johns Brook lodge Friday afternoon, eat dinner, and prepare for the next day.

Saturday: On Saturday we will hike a high peak with a daypack (lunch, snacks, water, and layers). If the weather forecast prevents summiting an exposed peak (Marcy or Haystack), we will hike Bigslide, a covered peak and another one of the 46 high peaks.

Sunday: Sunday will be a hike back out to the trailhead, again carrying a fuller pack. Arrival back at the parking lot is generally mid-day.

Hiker Profile

This trip is appropriate for women with moderate hiking experience and good physical condition. The hike into camp is a moderate 3.5 mile (@2.5 hours) and the hike up any high peak is a strenuous and rewarding 10-12 mile round trip (@8 hours). Participants should be prepared to hike over steep, rocky, and sometimes exposed terrain. Packing lists and gear advice will be provided.
